The sample training programs are designed for those who have full clearance from their physicians to engage in an active lifestyle. The workouts are designed to bring you from a relatively low level of conditioning through an intermediate stage and finally to a high level of conditioning enabling you to enjoy the highest levels of fitness and activity. For those who've attained a high level of fitness and want to focus more specifically on either cardiovascular (CV) conditioning or strength & appearance two advanced sample training programs have been provided. The three week hypertrophy program focuses on strength & appearance goals with cardiovascular workouts added for increased caloric expenditure and improved body composition. The advanced CV training program focuses on endurance performance and eliminates weight workouts seen in both the beginning and intermediate level programs. The focus of the advanced CV training program is to maximize cardiovascular, aerobic conditioning and improve your functional capacity. At any time you desire to incorporate weight workouts, change your focus, or modify your goals you can revert back to the intermediate level program which incorporates both aerobic and resistance training workouts.
